 | | | | | | | | AUTHOR: | RIKA | DATE: 01/10/04 7:58am | | SUBJECT: | Is this a Hit and Miss Month for Trying to Conceive? | | | I experienced my 3rd mscarriage in November - I went to my very first prenatal visit (I never seemd to get that far in the previous pregnancies) and found no heartbeat and one u/s found no fetus (at 11 weeks)-YES I had 2 that day - One at the GYN and the other at a Perinatalogist - the 2nd found a headtorump at only 6 weeks with no viable heartbeat. I was not cramping or bleeding - still felt very pregnant. I had a D&C (my first)on 11/26/04. It seems that I am prone to blighted ovums it seems and no one seems to know what to do to prevent them. I decide to try again. So I waited for the bleeding to begin and then had to wait for it to stop - It came on the Sunday after the procedure and then "tapered" after 2 weeks. It was never heavy. When I had sex following week, I passes fleshy substance that my dr told me was scare tissue from the procedure (anyone ever heard of that?) Then we decided to wait again until all the tissue had passed - wouldn't you know that I would start spotting again! (Sunday 12/21) I had an u/s ten following day that showed that I had several cyst on my right ovary - they could not determine if they were "functioning cyst" but asked if I had had a "regular" period since the procedure - At this rate I am not sure what a "regular" period is anymore. I think that I began my "period" offically (AGAIN) on 12/23. Which means that I should have ovulated between the 6-8th of January. However, I took my OPK on the 7th of Jan and got a very light line and on the 8th and got a lighter line. Does this mean that I ovulated or rather recieve my surge prior to the 7th? We had sex on the 1st, 3rd, 6th and the 9th.
I am not sure if this is a hit and miss month because I am not sure how these OPKs work - I heard that when you get an LH surge that you must have sex 24-36 hours after the positive surge - I am not sure that I made that window. But I was wondering if the sex prior to the "surge" dtae may help or not - by the way my CM is not great never was. Please give me soem insight or advice | | | |
