Betty,

I can very much relate to what you're saying. Have you been an at home mom or do you work outside of the home? Sometimes staying home with the kids can take a toll on you. I know it has for me. I was out of work for almost a year with a back injury resulting from a car accident. Tom was out working everyday, and I think it was hard for me because he was able to feel productive and I got into a rut being home. Then I went back to work part time at the nursing home and started to feel alot better. We weren't arguing as much and I was feeling "productive" again. Not that staying home is bad. I have the utmost respect for at home Moms. I just needed that workplce socialization. Then I lost my baby. Back in that rut. The nursing home was tough on me, alot of death in nursing homes. SO! I got a new job caring for a private patient and I start a phlebotomy course Feb 2nd. Tom and I were fighting daily after the loss of the baby. I realized alot of it had to do with how I felt about myself. I wasn't getting dressed and putting on makeup anymore and my self esteem took a nose dive. I wasn't letting him get close to me because I felt bad about myself. Now that I'm working alot and starting school we are doing so well. I feel good about myself again and I can allow him to love me again.

I hope school helps you feel better. Its a great feeling to get an "A" on an exam. Huge confidence booster. Maybe you and Jimmy will have a new outlook on each other. Provided he does a little work on himself too!!!! That old "when the relationship was new" attraction may come back if you truely love each other!!! And I suspect you do. Its just a matter of finding that spark in each other again...

Keep your head up,

CORA
