you are definitely not alone. my 2 year old will not go to sleep by herself. she wants me to stay in her room till she is asleep. I am a single mom and have a 5 year old also. I have all kinds of stuff to do after i get my kids to bed. My 2 year old will scream forever if i let her. The other nite it was a 2 1/2 hour battle and we were both exhausted the next day and i ended up giving in and letting her sleep with me because it was 11:30 at nite an dI was exhausted. There is no easy answer for this problem. I have been told to let them cry themselves to sleep. That is hard to do when 5 year old sister is trying to sleep. I don't know. Just hang in there. The answers will come if you keep on looking. Caroline
