I've been going threw the same thing for years.My little girl is 10. THINGS some times get worse til you find what works for him.My girl has been in special schools,also been in12\1\1 classes .there are many options to explore for him. Some may not be right but you keep trying .if your son is speical ed. Small classes with less distractions might hlep or a aide to help focus.Also there is something called central auditory processing disorder.Most kids with adhd also have this disorder.It's done by people who test hearing.If you havent you should get this done.
I just found out last year about it.I had the test done.And she had it .There are things they done to help that part of it.things all need to come together so he 's able to keep up and learn at the same rate as everyone else.And it can happen.You just go threw verything your district has to offer. Weed things out one by one.Good luck.
