SUBJECT: Help! Need sleep advice
I have 19 month old toddler who refuses to go to bed unless he is either sleeping in bed with us or if we lay down with him in his bed until he falls asleep. Frankly both are getting old. He wakes up every night at midnight if he is in his bed and once he realizes we are not there anymore he comes crying for us down the hallway into our room and demanding to get in. I just want him to learn how to put himself to sleep and STAY asleep. We tried gating his door with two different fences but he scaled them both. Then we tried putting the door know covers on but he still knows how to open the door. What next? Do we let him cry it out? I am so worn out over this and I know we caused it. We are not against co-sleeping, but just not every single night.

Thanks,
melodi
