Folks my toddler has played in his poop whenever put down for a nap since he was 15 months. He now will be 3 in the spring.

I have told him it was Yucky, nasty, dirty and he has had fun repeating that to us.He even asks for a bath now.

We have tapped his diapers on, layered several layers of clothes on, I've gone so far as to put his clothes on backwards. Nothing deters him other than not putting him down for a nap. This makes for a very cranky toddler.

I've started potty training yet he appears not to be ready yet and thinks flushing the toilet is the reason for being there. Out of 50 or more tries he has accidentially made pee pee 3 times.
He still can't sit still long enough to follow through.

To make matters worse he seems to enjoy his bath after making his artistic mess and once redressed and put back down again ..... usually does it again!

I've raised 3 children and this is my only poop lover so if I sound a bit frustrated it is the honest truth....I am!

I am a stay at home mom that spends every day with him so his personal attention level is more than filled. We sing together, dance together, learn our colors and shapes and count together daily...he does NOT want for my undivided attention. His closest sibling is 17 and gone more than home.

For you folks out there that think every child that does this is being left in bed too long, let me assure you putting them down for a needed nap is all this takes. We actually cut his door in half so we could see over it to check and perhaps catch him in action and have many times.

So far the only thing that works is to keep him up from his nap within my watchful eye and then deal with a cranky toddler. I have no other answers to this. I am at the point I simply pray this age is over tomorrow.
