Your last line tells me you're not truely ready. If you really and truely were ready, then you'd be comfortable enough with your decision to not have to ask the advise of others. However, you are being very smart about getting informed. Too many teens have sex without knowing much about sex. If you want to have sex regardless, schedule an appointment with a gynocologist for your first pelvic exam and to discuss contraception methods to fit your life style. If you can't talk to your parents, contact your local planned parenthood-they do have a web-site, or you can look it up in the phone book. The doctors and nurses there are very nice, generally experienced with teens and young adults, and usually you won't have to pay or will pay a reduced fee. They cannot contact your parents without your permission, so you don't have to worry about that!
