SUBJECT: Teething, night feeding HELP!!!
My son is 5 months old today an I believe has just started to teeth. He is constantly drooly and is trying to bite down on anything he can. He was sleeping from about 8pm -2am, eats and then until 5 or 6. Now he is waking up every two hours wailing! He hasn't had a pacifier at night for 3 months now, but now it seems like it is the only thing that calms him. He is one of those babies that if you go in to sooth him, he screams even louder. I have resorted the last few nights to going in and giving him a pacifier to chew on and he will normally fall back asleep within 10 minutes of chewing like mad. Am I creating a bad habit by doing this? How long does this normally last? I just don't want him to be crying in pain and me not do anything about it. Also, the doctor says he is more than ready to skip the night feeding (16lbs). How do you go about taking that away? I know this is a lot of questions but any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
