SUBJECT: 24 mos/hitting himself when told "no"
I have 24 mo old grandson that has just recently started hitting himself in the head with his fist when he is told "no" or disciplined for anything thing. Anyone else experience this? What is the suggested response to this child? I tried to tell him he is a good boy and not to hurt himself, and that he may have just done something wrong, but that didn't seem to stop him. Then the next time I just ignored it, but he continued. His mother told me today he has done it several times in front of her too now. Anyone know what starts this type of behavior and how to get him to stop it?
