SUBJECT: umbilical cord
i rec'd my 20 wk ultrasound and now I have to have a repeat ultrasound because of "suboptimal visualization of the cerebral ventricles" I was also informed that there is a cyst on the umbilical cord which could pose as a 1% risk for my baby to have downs sysdrome. I am real nervous about all the info I rec'd. My ob/gyn said that it was not something to be concerned about since the ultrasound did not detect any abnormalities with the baby's growth. Has any one experienced this at all?
