AUTHOR: TheCloud | | | i would like to say that though many people over-react to things like "bratty children" there ARE some bratty children out there. My own brother, infact, has been known to be a bratt, because he has ADD. My family has been involved in counselling, he has been on medicine, and my parents have taken every course and tried everything. My other brother,(1o years) my two sisters (12 and 17 years) and myself (13 1/2 years) are very well behaved children, and we have been because of them [my parents]. There have been times when my brother, (7 years) gets so out of control, even while on medicine,(and we have tried many,) that my parents have had to look to send him somewhere to get help. NOT to a boot camp, however, but in the same way, sometimes people need to send their children away to recieve help... Its a sad thing, and I feel bad for people, because it has caused my mother to feel so terrible about herself as a mother because of even thinking of sending him away, but she wants the best for him. Sending your children away to places like boot camps, in my opinion, isn't right, in MOST situations, but sending your child away to get them help isn't something that should be looked upon as bad parenting, but a very responsible person, trying to do the right thing... thanx 4 your time, and i hope that people can try to understand more complicated situations. | |  | |
