| Hi! My name is Denise. I was 17 weeks when my husband and I went for our first ultrasound. That's when we found out that our baby didn't have a heartbeat. The woman who did the ultrasound said that it had happened at 12 weeks based on the size of the baby, but we heard the heartbeat at 13 weeks. I had a D&E two days later. My doctor said that I would get my first period 2 to 3 weeks later and then another one about 4 weeks later. Then we could start trying again. But, I haven't had one yet (the ultrasound was on 10/15 and the D&E was on 10/17). Did anyone else have this happen to them? I was really hoping that we would be able to start trying again by now. I'm trying not to get stressed out about it, but I don't think I am doing a good job (probably why I haven't gotten it yet). Plus, on top of all this, my sister-in-law found out that she was pregnant right around the time that we lost the baby. So, it is really hard seeing her. Everytime I think I am doing better, I see her and feel really awful again. Any words of wisdom??? I would love to talk to people who know what I am going through, so I don't feel like a complete jerk all the time. Thanks!! Denise |
