SUBJECT: Fibroid in Uterus and Miscarriage 12/27/03
I just had a miscarriage on 12/27 and was quite confused, I have had four pregnacies and never had any complications with going full term. I was 7.5 weeks pregnant and they had given me two ultra sounds stating that they couldn't find the fetus. I was thinking it would be too soon to see anything, but they did shock me by telling me I had a fybroid in the back of my uterus 37-34 1/2 cm. I was in shock, I had never had to worry about complications or high risk miscarriage. I went to the hospital three times for heavy bleeding and pain, with the last visit being the third time in the hospital, I had started hemmerging, and I wanted to wait, but when I went to the restroom I had a large blood clot come out of me, which I took to the hospital with me, I was bleeding so much, that the Dr was able to remove all the fetus and all. WIthout a D&C. I was dilated!!! I took it so hard, I couldn't believe my eyes that I saw what was trying to grow inside of me... It was hard for me.. I am 28 years of age, and still confused... I don't know what to expect with my next pregnancy - I am so scared...I want any information with anyone that has gone through this... The two hospitals that I went to just said bedrest. My final visit to the hospital was when I my bleeding got out of control with large blood clots... Please if there is anyone out there that has a fybroid and trying to conceived.... Please HELP.....
THANK YOU
