| Hi! My name is Denise. I found out on Oct 15th that my baby didn't have a heartbeat when my husband and I went for out first ultrasound. This was our first baby. I was technically 17 weeks, although the ultrasound tech thought that the baby had died about 5 weeks before that. Although, we heard the heartbeat at 13 weeks. So, I'm still not sure if that was a blessing or not. My doctor had told me that I would get my period in 2 to 3 weeks after my D&E (which I had 2 days after we found out about the baby). Then, I would get another period about 4 weeks later. Then, we would could start trying again. But, I still haven't had my period and I'm trying not to freak out about it. But, it feels like it is slowly becoming an obsession, even though that is probably just making it worse. Then, on top of all of this, my sister-in-law found out she was pregnant right around the time that we lost our baby. I feel like crying everytime I see her and I feel like an awful person because I am not as excited as I want to be for my new niece or nephew. Did anyone else not get their period right away? I was really hoping we could start trying for a baby after the holidays, but that doesn't look like it is going to be happening. Any advice or similar situations?? I need to know that I am not going through this alone. Thanks! Denise |
