SUBJECT: confused about ovulation
I am in my third month of ttc and am very confused about how to count the ovulation and thent he oncoming period. Last month, I think I miscounted and thought I was pregnant, even took a blood test. I am usually very regular with my periods but this month, I didn't even get a period. According to numerous home preg tests and the doctor's blood test, I am not pregnant. On the 18th of December, the day I found out the blood test was negative, I started a light pinkish "period" but only had it for a day and it didn't come back. So I used an online ovulation counter and found out that I am supposed to ovulate on New Year's Eve (13 days after my period). But is that number 13 correct? Also, that means my next period would start on the 15th of January. I don't know, I all seems very confusing. I have an ovulation kit and want to take it just in case. There are the five strips but it cost $42 Canadian dollars and that is pricy. However, I am now 9 days after my so called "period" started. The hardest part I think is the counting. Do you start counting the period from the day you see red and then 13 days after that? Please help, I feel so lost and uninformed.
