 | Ok the milestone we have reached is a religion issue. I am jewish, the hubby is catholic (non practicing, hates religion)and my son is being raised to know from both (the commercial end Santa). the problem: the hubby's family bought the baby his "Christmas outfits". My mother wanted to put a yammikah (spelling) on his head during the jewish holidays and I said no. Then she said can we just take a picture of him wearing it, I said no. Today she ran out of my apartment crying, because she feels that a christmas outfit is like a yammikah and none of her children married jewish (she loves her son inlaw and daughter inlaw very much) and that my inlaws and my brothers inlaws have a grandchild of there own religion but she never will, so all she asked was that he just took this picture. Now the main problem is my hubby. He is dead against it, as for me it is not such a big deal, it is only a picture. He is not going to wear it all day during a holiday just for a picture. I feel terrible, I have never seen this upset. What should I do? Please some advice. Thank you |
