SUBJECT: is it to soon?
my son is 21 months old. at 14 months i started teaching him sit on the potty and he eventually started to go on the potty. he clapped and made you praise him everytime. then he just stopped. i didn't want to push it becuase he can't talk and can't tell me if he has to go. now he won't go on the potty, it's like he totally refuses it, but he will not keep a wet diaper on and at bedtime he won't keep it on, we put it on and least 25 to 30 times before bed becuase he doesn't want to wear it. he also sleeps with a cup, we got him off the bottle without any problems but instead he attached to a cup. my husband put the bottle in bed when i went back to work and i've never been able to break him of thhis habit. sometimes he doesn't drink it though.
please let me know what you think about potty training and maybe the cup situation if you have any advice!! i think it will be hard to train him during the night if he has a cup.
