My daughter is below level in reading but otherwise does well in school. I'm not sure how that works since you have to read everything to answer questions. BUt she seems to be fine at all the rest.

We live in Wisconsin so your referrals won't help us here..thanks anyway.

No, she isn't on any medication. Nothing has ever warranted it before. She defintely knows what is expected of her but she gets so caught up in the drama of socializing that she isn't paying attention, misses directions or needs to be told 10 times to focus on her work.

For some reason, she seems to be drawn to friends that are rude. The ones who often say "I won't be your friend unless...or I won't be your friend anymore if you don't sit with me" I've told her that people like that are weak and she needs to be strong to stand up to them. She knows they shouldn't treat her that way but yet, she sits with them!

I think her little brother, s years younger, is her punching bag. Sometimes literally. But mostly you can tell she is just totally aggravated by him.

Tomorrow I am taking her to the family doctor for some recurring tummy pains. I guess I never thought to talk to her pediatrician about this...just the shrink.

I talked to her teacher today and she said my daughter got a detention last week for singing an inappropriate song to a girl at recess. Something with the words "screw it!" There's that one song that goes "I want to move it, move it", well her "friend" made a new song that says "I want to screw it, screw it!!!". I talked to my daughter about it and She said she didn't even know what it meant but she just went along with it. Then she also said the reason she sang it to the girl is because the girl is a huge tattle tale. Which seems to be an excuse for a lot of her behavior lately..."well, that girl tattles on me all the time for little things even.." I explained to her that if she was doing what she was supposed to be doing there wouldn't be a reason for anyone to tattle. She aggreed that made sense...but...we'll see if it sticks.

I am meeting with the teacher and my daughter next week. I want to see if they have a good repore too. Someone told me the teacher has it out for my kid abnd 3 others in her class..but that could just be talk.

I know my daughter has a problem, I just don't know why.

I grounded her for two days to her room for the detention at school, and the fact that she never told me about it. Plus she shoved a girl who has been her best friend for 3 years the other day on the playground. Just because she was ignoring her. Well the girl went home and told her mom so the mom called me! (when it should have been handled at school) So then again I hear "she tattles on me for everything mom!". Well, in this case I know the other girl very well and she is the neighborhood tattle tale. About everything. She drives us parents nuts when she is over...BUT, that's no reason to get shoved!

Sorry this was so long, obviously there is a lot on my mind. Thanks for your input...
