SUBJECT: No Friends at school
My 6 1/2 year old daughter has just had a "time of it" since she started school trying to make friends. Mentally she was ready at 5 but socially she has and still is really struggling. Recently my Mother and Sister have encouraged me to go to a Doctors visit suspecting she has "Asperges", a low end of the scale of Autism.

My daughter is a loud child and she can be very demanding and tiring to be around. She desperately wants friends and tries constantly. She is saying things that indicate she is "self aware" that she's different like "why can't I pay attention like the other kids and have friends like the other kids?" - its heart wrenchign!

She's desperate for peer friendship, she recently started playing with two boys, who are very naughty, and has since been to the principal's office twice. The only friends she has I have had to ask her not to play with anymore! My daughter has a heart of gold but I don't know what to do in order to help her social skills and make friends successfully at school?
Anyone else gone thru this and know what I should do?
