My (just turned) three year old has decided to get up at 0600 as well. I am one who likes getting up at 9am at the latest!!! I've worked the graveyard shift and night shifts for about 5 years now, so this early rising thing isn't my ...thing! As I am a stay-at-home mom, I am able to adjust my sleep hours, so that is what I have done. I keep telling myself it never hurts to go to bed early and wake up early. I get more done in the day and have more energy than I used to (which is saying a lot considering that I am pregnant)

I do not think there is a way of altering your toddler's sleep schedule, nor do you really want to, if you think about it. He is preparing now his sleep pattern for later. When school starts you'll want him to be awake early and ready for school without much fussing on your part. So try and look on the bright side.
