 | My child is 3 1/2 years old and has bitten the same child in his class once a month for the past 3 months. Each time my son bit this child, my son was pushed to the ground first and my child fought back by biting.
But what happend to us, is that each time we were written up and a parent conference was held. We were given all sort of reading material and behavior modification techniques to use.
Well, He just bit the same kid yesterday for the 3rd time, and we were told that my son needed to be in Professional therapy before he is able to return to the school. Now this is the school that I pay $12,500 per year to have my child in.
I am shocked that the center that your child is in has let this go this far! My child bites 3 times over 3 months and it is a HUGE problem for the center to even have him there, and you child is covered with bites and they dont think this is a problem??
At our center, they keep the parents that have multiple kids at the center more so than parents who have only one. The center is expensive and is having problems keeping the center full, thus if we leave, they only have to fill one spot. If the other family leaves, they take 3 out.
I personally think that you need to force them to take action on these parents to help there child stop biting. Deep down, no parent wants their child to be the "problem child" they are probably just embarrased and dont know what to do. At least, that is the way I feel. |
