SUBJECT: Stepson I didn't know about
When I met my husband I already had a child. He loved him and they bonded instantly. After we married we tried to have a child of our own. I ended up taking fertility drugs in order to concieve. When I was about 4 mos pregnant my husband had a one night stand. Now almost 4yrs later I was surprised to find out that I was pregnant again, 2 mos into my pregnancy we recieved a letter stating that my husbands son was in foster care. He has had a blood test and it his. It really is true it only takes one time. now I find myself not only preparing for the birth of a child, but i am also preparing to met this child concieved out of an action that has been very painful for me. The mother has a bad drug problem and will more than likely lose her rights. How do I get past the pain and open up my heart to love and care for this child?
