SUBJECT: His mother and ex-wife are driving me nuts!
My husband and I are newlyweds of only 6 months. Both of us married and divorced with 2 children each. My 2 sons are 12 and 16. My ex-husband is completely out of the picture. His daughter is 7 and his son is 10. I never believed in love at first sight until I met my new husband. Not to mention that he treats me like a queen. It sounds like bliss until you factor in my new mother in law and his ex-wife. Who coincidentally hated eachother until I came into the picture. I guess they both feel helpless, because he is no longer their "beck and call boy". It's as though they're a team and my husband and I are the opposition. He tries not to let either one of them bully him but they seem to be grasping for ways to manipulate him. Sadly most of the time through the children. They are both control freaks. When his ex-wife doesn't get her way she runs to his mother. Then he gets a nice little call from his mother who in turn scolds him. This makes me furious..My husband is frustrated, but does nothing about it. Is their anyone out their with some advice on how to deal with a couple of control freaks?
