SUBJECT: new or established daycare?
Does anyone have experience, good or bad, using a recently licensed preschool? It seems nice but is about an extra half hour a day driving time and $20/week than another school I am considering. Has anyone found that giving up those extra minutes in the morning was worth choosing a little better school. The main difference is a ratio of 8-1 at the new school and 10-1 at the established center. The owner/director is not usually at the established school, but the assistant director seems nice. The new school is a little more organized at this time and places more emphasis on writing/letters. But since they are still hiring staff as the children's numbers grow I am a little concerned, although the director is really nice and competent. This newer school also has a drop in policy where the other is primarily the same kids full time. I have always been a stay at home mom but now must work. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!
