I didn't like doing this but I only had to do it once. I told my daughter if she spat/stuck out her tongue one more time, I was gonna put soap in her mouth. She didn't believe me. Should have seen the look on her face when I followed through. All I did was put a drop on my finger & put it in her mouth. She never did it again. And she's 11 now and basically well-adjusted. Except for her extreme fear of liquid soap ... just kidding! :0)
