Hi Homemom1,

I once heard a little bit of wisdom that I would like to share with you. It goes like this: "3 things affect the proper discernment/decision making process the most: 1) FEAR 2) Pride and 3) Dishonesty." I cannot agree more with this. PLEASE, I BEG YOU, do not let fear keep your from keeping this precious child that loves you so much and knows only you and the comfort of you right now. You are the only person who can protect this child right now. He/She is made vulnerable to you and you alone.

Also, let me tell you that my high risk doctor told me that the risk of rupture - even with repeat ceasareans - is only 3% and usually that only occurs if the person goes in hard labor. The normal risk of rupture for in GENERAL is 1%. So the risk is not that high.

There are a couple of problems out there in the medical community. #1 - Drs. just dont' SEE many multiple c-sections because people just don't want that many children now and limit family size to a few. Thus, they have no real objective basis and studies to look to. They also are afraid of liability.

So, once again, FEAR is in the way. If there was every anything I can promise you it would be this - when you look back on your life and the things you have and haven't done - you may or may not have many regrets. The same for me. But one thing I know for sure that neither you and I will ever regret will be that we gave another life and the love we shared with that precious child of ours. It will seem so little to have went through and we'll probably even feel so silly for worrying.

Take heart and know that this is a very precious, special and very PERSONAL gift - designed one of a kind for ALL time for you and your husband - another human being - made to live eternally and in the image of God and also in the image of you and your husband - reflecting even the image of your 13 month old - and the incarnation of the deep love you share with your spouse. Your baby is delighting in you right now - he/she knows you - he/she loves you - and he/she just wants the chance to be born and love you and others and share the special gift of who he/she is with the world.

There is no mistake this child has a heartbeat. There is no mistake this child has been given life. So many people want children adn try as they might - cannot have one. So, that there is proof that human beings do not create life alone - but are co-creators with God and depend totally upon God for the gift of life. God knows what he is doing. He knows the plans He has for you and this new life. For you and your husband. He knows the laughter you'll share at the funny antics of this new baby one day - he knows how your heart will melt as your baby will one day crawl over to you and rest their head on your lap gently nuzzling and loving you. And he knows how glad you'll be that you trust Him and let this child be born.

It's not easy to trust, but its always the best Way. I promise you and I can only do this because God has been and always will be faithful to His promises to you and me and all mindkind for all time.

There is a poem out there called teh Tapestry. It talks about how God has been weaving this tremendous tapestry since the beginning of time. It talks about how he had to have your great great great grandfather fall in love with your great great great grandmother and then your great great grandgather fall in in love with you great great grandmother and so on - down to your parents JUST TO GET TO YOU. He's been weaving these lives of love together in an intimate plan just to get to you - and OUT OF YOU HE WILL DRAW MORE LIVES OF LOVE TOGETHER (But you have to let him - and that includge this new baby).

Please see next post - ran out of room
