SUBJECT: 9 month milestones--I am not sure he is hitting them
My little one just turned 9 months this week. He is achieving great things in some areas-- crawling great, pulling up on everything, and can climb all the way up our staircase (with me following at a very close distance, of course). I am concerned that he is really not making his vowel sounds and that he cannot find a hidden object. If you take one of his toys and put a blanket over it, he just cries--he does not realize it is under the blanket. One of my books mentions this skill at 7-8 months and my doctor said he should be making vowel sounds at his 9 month visit. Do any of you have babies his age and does this sounds normal?
