My son just turned 9 months this week and I was concerned a month or so ago because he was hitting himself in the head with some of his toys. They were hard plastic and left a red mark, so I thought it must be hurting him. Anyway, he isn't doing it anymore, so I guess it is just one of those stages they go through! I wouldn't worry.
