You are not alone. It's not just you. We don't want to take our son anywhere either. He constantly runs away. He won't hold your hand.

Once he did the tantrum thing by going limp while husband was holding his hand. He dislocated his elbow. Had to take him to Emergency. It's called Toddler's Elbow or Nursemaid's Elbow. That was awful./

He won't sit still. He throws things. He stomps on things. I avoid taking him to anyone's house.If he doesn't get what he wants he flattens out on the ground making it nearly impossible to pick him up. If I can get him up, he kicks and kicks and screams. It hurts me; plus I'm not that strong to hold a writhing 35 pounds. It's embarassing. I've got some people telling me I'm too easy, and other people telling me he's only a two year old and that's what they do. Especially boys. I don't know what to do either.
