Are you sure you aren't talking about my son?? I have 2 boys as well. Shane is 3 and Kyle is almost 6 months. I can't take his behavior any more. So many people have told me that his behavior doesn't seem "normal" and that I should take him to the pediatrician to get "checked" I know he doesn't have ADD because he can sit and play. He just doesn't sit still either. He absolutely HATES the word NO. Everything is an argument and a tantrum and it drives me nuts. It's not like he's spoiled either, because he doesn't get what he wants all the time. I can't take him anywhere because when we leave it's always a HUGE FIT! For example the other day I took him to my nephew's football game. He wanted to run on the field, but when I told him that he couldn't because he would get hurt by the players he FREAKED out. It took all that I had not to cry or do something worse. (I would never hurt my child, but sometimes I feel like I want to) I am at my wits end and I don't know what to do. He doesn't listen (ever) and he's sometimes violent and gets crazy mad. I've tried timeout and putting him in his room but nothing works. He'll cry to get out and then when I finally let him, he's back to being a brat. I never thought that I would have the child that noone wants around because he is so difficult! He is a very funny kid and is very intelligent as well. He remembers everything (including mistakenly said curse words by me..)! I'm sorry to ramble, but I need someone to talk to who is in my situation. I don't see other kids acting this way!! Please let me know if you want to talk.
thanks!
Kelli
