| Hello everyone...
My name is Stacy, I'm 26 years old. I was diagnosed with UC when I was 13. I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant with my first child. I was wondering if anyone with UC while pregnant found it difficult to gain weight. I was a bit overweight to begin with, but now that I'm pregnant, I'm finding it hard to keep the extra weight on. I'm currently taking asulfasalazine, and it doesn't seem to be helping. The only meds I found to help me over the years is Asacol and Flagil combo. I'm just worried that the baby will be ok. My doctor's don't seem to concerned, and says that the baby takes what it needs from me, and I get all the leftovers. Great, no wonder I'm so tired all the time. I guess I was looking for some words of encouragement, or a sucess story of someone with UC and having a normal 9 month pregnancy. Any replies would be great!
