| I am so very thankful for having found this message thread. I've never posted a message before like this, so I hope someone can help me with my question.
My husband had a vasectomy after our last child about 5 years ago, and I so desperately want another baby now. My desire for another baby started a few months ago when I was sure I was pregnant. I had all the early signs - late period, breast tenderness, morning sickness - but I ended up getting my period about 3 weeks later. I was so devastated and upset that it made me realize that I want another baby so very badly. I've been trying to find any kind of medical information to give me hope, and there's not much out there. That's why I'm so glad to have found this board, where you ladies have shown me it truly is possible for me to get pregnant again.
My question is this, for those of you that are (or did get) pregnant after vasectomy - did your husband have to go through the sterilization process again afterwards? I don't really understand too much how it all works (medically), so I was curious if a pregnancy after vasectomy is a sort of one-time miracle, or if it means that the vasectomy failed entirely and would have to be redone (assuming you wanted that). I think I would be thrilled if I found out my husband's vasectomy had failed permanently, but it sounds like it may be more of a one time thing. Does anyone know?
