SUBJECT: 2.5 year old only drinks milk!!
I need advise. My boyfriend's grandson is 2.5 yrs old and he DOES NOT EAT SOLID FOOD!! they give him approx. 5-6 bottles of milk a day with vitamins in the milk (yes, I know he should be off the bottle, but we have NO control over this end of it) I don't think they attempted to give him baby food at a young age because he rejected it. They just call him a "picky" eater but I must say, I have never heard of a child who does not eat solid food. When you offer him something, he simply throws it on the floor or walks away! His weight is good (approx. 30lbs) and he seems to be developing normally except for his speech (he just babbles, only says a few words) He seems to have NO interest in food whatsoever. When we ask the boys mother about it, she just says he doesn't like food except for yogurt so she is fine with giving him milk with vitamins. I don't think she tells the doctor about this behavior either. Isn't this going to affect his long term development? Any input will help. I would appreciate it.
