2 year old blues

ok... so today I took my lovely 2 year old son to toddle story time at the library.... this was really his first time at the library.

He was in awe.... he of course had no idea what to focus on... so may books and people and computors and they are doing constuction at our library so men in tool belts! Cool!

it started out ok then he ran wild..... everytime I tried to hold his hand he threw himself on the very dirty rug and started rolling around.... he wouldn't go into the story time room,

it endded with me dragging him out of the library offices and then peeling him off the copy machine... carrying him out to the car like a football and wreaseling him into his car seat.

He's 2... he acts like the quintaessical 2 year old..... except there were other people there with there 2 year olds and they were not behaving like him...... this happens alot.... I have really tried to set clear rules and have been pretty firm.

Is it just me? it's consintently like this.

I can't take him anywhere anymore.
