ttc 5 years and now life feels incomplete

Hi all, I am new to this board and I feel like I have told my story to so many peope but still I am saddened. I have a 7 yr old son with Down Syndrome from a previous marriage. he is bright and smart not your typical downs case. he is an angel child and a god sent. But my new husband of 6 yrs and I want another child desperately. We have been taking Ovulex(a fertility drug) for 3 months and still no luck. We have been trying for close to 5 yrs. we have both been tested and we almost gave up until we found the Ovulex. I read that it works in like 2 months but not for me. My life just feels incomplete. I think about babies all day every day until it has overwhelmed. We even went throught our local adoption agency to adopt one and are currently awaiting a child. I wonder if there is something else I could try? Something I am doing wrong?
