Now that I see the whole picture, and it doesn't seem like you over-reacted. Things just kind of fell into place, landing the girl at the station.

I would think that the principal might make an exception in your case and allow you to meet your child at the classroom, at least for a few months until all of this is forgotten by the children.

My nephews attended a private high school/junior high school. My own children are too young the attend school. At this private high school a group of boys were vandalizing cars, public property, etc. Like street bandits! And the school is in a rather well-to-do neighborhood. My sister-in-law took her children out because the principal chose to take no action with these kids. She concluded that the repercussions at a public school would be greater, and the children could be no worse. She also mentioned that kids at this private school swore and did drugs. There's just always a number of parents who do not supervise or discipline thier children.
