Last Monday, at 11 weeks, I started to bleed. Not alot, but not what I consider to be spotting either. This began after getting to stabbing pains in my lower left side. This being my second child, I knew this wasn't the regular ligaments stretching. I went to the bathroom and saw blood. Same thing happened to me, I was told I needed an ultrasound and they wanted to check for an ectopic pregnancy. The earliest I could get in was Friday - tomorrow. So I tried to stay off my feet and take it easy. Tues, Wed more bleeding. I called my doctor yesterday crying, asking if there was anything we could do to check--Friday was so far away. He let me come in to try to hear the heartbeat, but to no avail. He says there was a 50/50 chance we'd hear it anyway. Then he had some blood drawn and I'm to have some drawn again tomorrow to check my hormone levels. Today, day four, still bleeding-but only when I wipe! I'm finding out this is not uncommmon, and some women to bleed throughout their pregnancy. My other glimmer of hope is that I am not cramping. However, all my pregnancy signs have disappeared, ie sleepiness, nausea, hunger. I talked to another nurse today and she said it could be a tear in the placenta or a loss of a twin. Ohhhh, 14 hours to go until the ultra sound. I will post the results. Pray for us.
