I thought I'd put my two cents into this... I am only 21 years old and have a 3 year old girl. I joined this board for ADVICE! Not to comdemn my kid. I am stating how my child acts and what I should do to ease the tension and stress. So what all of you are saying is that if my kid consistently did the same thing over and over again in one sitting, that I should say oh that's okay Heather, you can keep on doing it because you are only a 3 year old and that's what 3 year olds do??????? I don't think so! I never acted like she does when I was a child! When she doesn't respect adults at age 3 then something is wrong. One parent told me that it takes and outsider to correct her child. Well, my daughter doesn't care. She is very advanced for her age. She was at a 4 year old level at 2. She knows right from wrong. She sasses people and acts like she is queen. She's smart and know's how to play people. That's where discipline steps in and you correct your child! They are smarter than you think! If I just let her go, and do whatever the h*ll she wants then I am going to have trouble with her in the long run. She will end up taking advantage of me and of others. Just thought I'd add my own two cents.
