SUBJECT: 3 year old won't hold my hand and I have to DRAG her!
Hi there. I hope this wasn't already addressed but I am a 20 year old mom of a little girl who will turn 3 on Nov. 13th. About a month ago, she decided that she no longer needs me to hold her hand in public places. Every now and then she does but for example... I went to the mall a few days ago and forgot the stroller. Well, I thought she'd be okay because I only needed to make 2 stops and then I told her we'd stop at the pizza place for lunch. We made it just inside the main doors and she pulled away from me. She wouldn't follow me and I have to threaten her about strangers so she'll stay with me. I got her hand again and she just let herself go limp. I don't know why she just started doing this because a few months ago she loved holding my hand. She lets herself drag and I basically had to pull her half way up the mall. So embarrasing. Then when I finally had enough, I decided to carry her but she refused and she is heavy anyway. She won't even hold my hand to go into a restaurant just a few short steps away! What is the deal?????
