I have a 2year old also, she wants her binky all the time and will wake-up in the middle of the night if its not in her mouth. I found it to be true that if there is a cut in it she dosent want it. But of course she knows I have back ups for those emergencies and wants the "good one".
Bad mommie of course will give it to her to keep her happy. but it really does work if there is a cut in it. LOTS OF LUCK hope its easier for you.
