SUBJECT: 3 year old holding his pee and poop
Well, we've now gone from sometimes telling me when he has to poop (and NEVER telling me when he has to pee)......to...HOLDING BOTH.

I came to the conclusion that maybe I was pressuring him too much, so I dropped it--I stopped asking him if he had to pee. Today he peed when he got up (after telling me he didn't have to after 10 hours in bed?) and at 2:00 before naptime. That's 6 hours without going to the bathroom.

He has stayed dried at night and at naps since he was 2 1/2--so I have no complaints there. But he tells me "No, I can't" whenever I do ask him if he needs to pee.

He won't go into the bathroom himself--he never did. He now refuses to pee all day long. What am I doing wrong?? This is driving me C R A Z Y.
I honestly think I'm going to take him to the Dr, but I'm afraid that will really throw things off. I even tried having him drink all morning so that he would know how it would feel to have to pee. Still nothing. He must have an adult sized bladder.

Any suggestions?

Thanks..
