AUTHOR: coragrace | | | Thanks for the response...I sure hope that everything is okay. I went to my first obgyn appointment today and they scheduled me for an ultrasound next week, the Dr. said that when I hear the heartbeat it will seem very reassuring. I also have to go to the lab and get blood work. This is all so new to me and quite overwhelming. I am also scared because the Dr. said I have to quit taking my antideppresant medicine because it could cause birth defects. I hope I don't turn into a teary, emotional mess without them. When my husband and I had talked to our family doctor prior to concieving he had told us that I could stay on the antideppresant just not breastfeed...now the obgyn says absolutely not...she says the ONLY safe antideppresant is Prozac and all others are ruled unsafe for the fetus. I am going to play it safe and not take any. Just hoping for the best now. | |  | |
