Hello,
My son is 3 1/2 mnths. I don't have a MIL who interferes & I don't think she will later.
I haven't read all the messages posted from your first response. I am not in your shoes to experience what you are going through, but all I can say is this:
DO STAND YOUR GROUND AND UNFORTUNATELY, BE FIRM WITH YOUR MIL AND ANYONE ELSE WHO DEFIES YOUR BELIEFS. REMEMBER "BE FIRM".
This is your daughter and let them know that you are doing what you feel is best for her. You are her mother and that will never change.
At this stage in her life(esp.the cereal issue) & until she is "18", you will decide what you think & want for her.
You have her best interest at heart. Please stress this to them & if they don't understand, too bad. I know that sounds harsh, but how else do you make people understand you.
Be yourself & tell them exactly how you feel. You may have already done this numerous times, but as long as they keep interfering with you, keep them at bay & DO NOT allow them to do what they wish with your child.
You were given the title of "mother" for one reason, please use it.
