Does your school district offer self contained classes for children with behavior problems? These classes have a regular academic curriculum and have about 6 or 8 students max. Their emphasis is on behavior. Daily rewards for good behavior and loss of privileges for bad behavior. You may find out by looking in the yellow pages. First look for public schools then either "Exceptional Children Services" or "Special Education". Many teachers are not even aware of the services their school district offers. These classes also have a teacher's aide. These type of classes have done wonders for behaviorally challenged kids. Also, with good behavior they start reintegrating the child back into the regular classroom. Believe me a child won't be stuck in this kind of class if they're demonstrating a lot of good behavior. Special education clsses are expensive and this one is no exception.
