SUBJECT: Three & a half.....still biting.....
My son attended the same childcare facility that I was working at (in a seperate classroom)up until last week when he was disenrolled for biting. He is three and a half, and the last week he attended he bit five times. I have tried spanking, removing priviledges, washing his mouth out with soap, but nothing seems to stop him. The other staff at the center also say he is extremely hard to handle in class, refuses to participate in large group activities, and is very aggressive in most of his play. I have scheduled a behavioral assessment for him to find out if there is something going on mentally. Is it normal for me to feel so alone and so protective of my son, like everyone is against him and that I am the only one on his side? Has anyone else gone through this?? Any advice??
