SUBJECT: MY 14 YEAR OLD WANTS AN EARRING
I have a delima, someone please help. My son (14 yrs. old, 8th grade) has been asking for an earring in his ear. I don't see a problem but my husband does. My feelings are that if he had the repect to ask us, that speaks alot plus if he gets the earring, the thrill will be gone in about a week. If not the nagging will go on for YEARS!!! My husband feels that everything is predicated on good grades in school. No good grades, no extra things. I believe this also but he has been diagnosed with ADHD and I SEE my child trying because I DO work with him in every way (teachers, meetings, tutors, medication, etc.) It is just not clicking and at this stage I find it hard to withhold when I know he is actually doing the best he can. HELP!!!!! Thank you
