SUBJECT: Sleeping at Grandma's House
My Mother-In-Law keeps asking us to let our 21 month old daughter sleep at her house. I can't accept the idea of letting her spend the night away from us "just because". It's not like she never sees her grandmother. She vists at her house every week.

My MIL does not even have a place for her to sleep. She plans on having her sleep in the same bed as her or on the couch. My daugther never sleeps anywhere except her crib or in the car. When we did sleep away from home as a family, my daughter became hysterical when we put her to sleep. Once was at my Father-In-Laws where she was unfamilar with her surroundings however, another time was at my parents house where we visit several times a week. She gets so hysterical, I end up sleeping in the same room with her going to bed at 8:00 just to keep her calm. I cannot see putting her through this trauma for no reason at all. My husband does not agree with me. What do I do?
