SUBJECT: What happend to old school?
This is the problem with children today.
1#They have no respect for their elders.
2# Most are spoiled brats because parents want to give them what "they" never had.
3# Some parents are just too busy, or worried about their own lives than to focus on their children.
4# Schools have gotten to where they can't teach because children are uncontrollable and therefore they spend most their time with the dress code, drugs, guns, etc.

The problem with society today is that, you can't discipline your children. A disrespective child needs a good smack in the mouth when he/she back talks. They do not know the words: yes ma'em and no ma'em. They do not know not to interupt. The problem today is that if we try to punish our children the law wants to tell us how. Then nobody understands why the child is out of control. When the parent tried to discipline the child they are threatened with jail time.
Wake up people, there is a difference between spanking and abuse.
I was old school raised, my older son was old school raised. He respects his elders and loves me for this. I love my Mother and Father and appreciate every spanking I got. I wish my father were alive today to tell him so.
My daughter on the other hand is way out of control. Why? Because when I caught her smoking for the third time(ciggerettes she stold from her father) I spanked her and the ex decided to call DHS. Telling her if I spank her to call 911. Now my daughter is out of control and the ex hasnt seen her or pays support for the last 4 years.
Now, because she does not behave, the teachers wonder why. Sure I try the grounded thing, take away things, but does it work for me. NOPE. She is in counceling. Does it work. NOPE.
This is just my opionion. We need to take our parenting back.
