I have 2 year old, 3 year old, and 4 year old. One child would not let me hold them without all three being jealous and believe me they would pile right up there on me too. lol... I tried the 1 2 3 Magic by Thomas Phelan and it started to work but Janie gets so angry when I try to count that she does not even cry anymore..she makes noise like she is crying but she is putting it on for drama. She has been in time out a lot this week-end. The bad thing is we took them to a harvest festival and they had a great time, we visited Papa and Mimi and had a good time and then she just throws her fits and makes everyone miserable. I am taking her to a therapist who says since she was only 1 and a half when I got her she does not have memories of neglect. She says that it is apparant that Janie knows me and me only and Mama, she does have a speech delay and with that she may also have a communication delay because she could not express herself verbally. I am constantly praising her and hugging her and kissing her and telling her that she is a smart big girl. She is very smart but she lets her anger get the best of her at times. I agree, spanking would make it worse. I appreciate all of your advice it really helps.
