I can relate a little with you. My son used to sleep through the night until his 18 month checkup. After that he'd wake every two hours. My husband and I took turns sleeping next to him in an air mattress. We did this for four months. Finally we said enough and we put two gates in front of his door and let him cry it out. We let him see us from our room but we did not go to him. It took a week, but he finally stopped wakeing. I too am 5 months pregnant and I'm just now catching up on the 4 months of sleep I lost.
As for him not napping. Have you tried warm milk? That used to work for me when I was a kid. I give it to my son once in a while. The other moms suggestion was good too. Take him for a drive, if he even falls asleep when you do drive. If you rock him, would he sleep that way? How about having him lay with you on your bed.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how you are make out. Good Luck!
Dina
